"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

~ Hunter S. Thompson ~

I've taken to talking in verse
But it's quite hard to do when I curse.
Though much rymes with "uck,"
I am shit out of luck
In describing those acts quite perverse.

Read a book today titled "Stealing Jesus," written by a fellow named Bruce Bauer. Interesting stuff. All about Christian Fundamentalism and darned informative. The text defined legalistic and nonlegalistic Protestantism and I realized that, if forced to choose, I'd take the nonlegalistic faction. Probably as a cheerleader. Though I seldom stifle myself with labels, I do relate to Bauer's definition of "nonlegalistic Protestantism."

Enough said. If I go on, I'll start to proselytize.

Last Thursday goes down in the anals of history as one negative day. First, the right rear wheel of my car snapped off. But that was nothing compared to later when my hard drive disappeared, never to return. Yup: anals.

It could have been worse, I suppose. The hard drive failure might have paranormally triggered a switch which set my house on fire, maimed my dog and stole all the tomatoes from my garden. So, there were positive aspects to the day. Even if negativity did threaten to dominate for a wee bit.

It's been four days now since my entire existence was wiped from computer memory and from the roads. How do I feel? Well, I don't feel like popping my CPU with the shotgun any longer. And I'm walking more.

I'd say that's progress.
